Lemonade Nails
Recently Nail Art Stamping Chick hosted a contest on Facebook calling for nail art stamping designs using the color yellow. I decided to enter with a lemonade inspired manicure. I started this manicure with Zoya Pippa! What a CUTE yellow! Then, I turned it into a ruffian with dollar store white. I really love this style. I think I might've done this without tip guides too, which is like a miracle! I notice that as I paint my nails more and more for this blog, I'm really getting much more steady and clean with my application. Do you guys have trouble with that? Would it help if I posted some things I've learned so far?
So, here is the ruffian, Then I added the lemons using BM04. These were stamped with Konad Special Yellow Polish and then took a green striper to color in the leaves.
I love this fresh summery manicure. Totally matching this lovely weather right now. Needless to say I didn't win the contest - whomp whomp! But that's okay! I'm hoping I will be getting the new plates as a bday gift soon! Are you following Nail Art Stamping Chick on Facebook, yet? You totally should! She often will post about great finds on eBay for cheap plates, and it is a great resource for stamping inspiration.

Week full of Nails for ya!
I'm so behind on posting my manicures. Believe it or not, I've actually been painting my nails more than a couple times a week, but I just haven't had time to post them.
Here's Zoya Lolly in her ModMatte glory! Sorry she's upside down. Blogger hates my images sometimes.
When the Zoya Earth Day Exchange came up I was on the hunt for a lovely nude. Zoya recommended Amanda to me. I think its a cute color, but maybe not the perfect nude for my skin tone, so the hunt continues! If you have any recommendations, please let me know in the comments. I stamped the rose with black from one of my Born Pretty plates.
Birthday Nails! Started with a light blue from Cosmetic Arts, then did a two tone cupcake stamp from BM14 Then I used CG Fairy Dust on top to give it a little sparkle.
Let's call this one: FOIL FAIL! I had this vision in my head of a full nail foil covered nails, all blingy and hot for my birthday, but um, it didn't hold up well...I got the foil and glue from Dollar Nail Art. I think when I try this again in the future, I'll start with a base color like black on my nails. Its a little difficult to get the foil all over the nail, so this will give something nicer to peak through than by naked nail. I did mange to stamp some princess crowns on the thumb which I think looked pretty cute:
As a bonus pic, I present you BOW TOES! Color is China Glaze Purple Panic (Neon). The hearts on the little toes are from Konad plate M3 and the bow is from Konad plate M59.
So, what was your favorite mani from the week? Any tips for me on how to apply foil better? And I need nude polish recommendations. I want something opaque and it is so hard to know by looking at the polish bottle if something is going to be sheer or opaque, so I need your recommendations! Hit me up in the comments, and have an ab fab weekend!

I'm a Kreativ Blogger! :)
I am so honored that both Rainbow and Sparkles Blog and The Nail Addict both nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award! :) Love those girls! :)
This is what you have to do when receiving this award:
- You have to write ten facts about yourself
- You have to pass the award along to ten other bloggers!
Ten Facts About Me:
This is what you have to do when receiving this award:
- You have to write ten facts about yourself
- You have to pass the award along to ten other bloggers!
Ten Facts About Me:
- I'm 27 years old, married to my husband Keith for almost four years, living in Southern Maryland, mom to Lucky dog, a maltese shih tzu mix.
- I make websites for a living, and I get to work from home four days a week :)
- Besides my hobby of painting nails, I also love to crochet, garden, watch trashy reality show like Jersey Shore and anything on E! I also love being crafty and decorated our home.
- In the past 2.5 years I've lost over 50 pounds. I've been working with a nutritionist and have become a total gym rat, so you might hear me tweet about that subject from time to time.
- I've never worn false nails before, but my nails often get mistaken for fake nails. I definitely got my great nail genes from my momma.
- My hot Saturday night plans every week include Wii family game night with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend Bev. Its one of my favorite nights of the week because I turn into a traveling manicurist and get to share my passion for nail art and stamping with my mom and Bev. I love painting my nails and coming up with new designs, but its even funner when you don't have to do them alone.
- Favorite tv shows include: Glee, One Tree Hill, 90210, Grey's Anatomy, 30 Rock, Modern Family, and MANY MANY MORE.
- I love traveling. My two favorite places that I've been are Italy and Hawaii!
- For my birthday this year I got tickets to go see the goddess: Ms. Britney Spears and Niki Minaj! LOVE them both!
- I like to have theme songs for my different moods. Here are my top three: "Bossy" by Kelis for when I'm feeling like a bossy bitch. "Superwoman" by Alicia Keys for pumping me up before a job interview or other important event. "You Drive Me Crazy" by Britney Spears for whenever anything is driving me crazy! LOL.

Happy Pink Wednesday!
You guys, I have a new favorite pink. SRSLY, I am in love! During Zoya's Earth Day sale, I really focused my search for pinks (since On Wednesdays We Wear Pink), and one of the beauties I purchased is called Flora. It is such a stunning shade! And of course Zoya has the most flawless formula. Everything smooths out perfectly and looks so shiny and pretty in just two coats!
I stamped my tips in Konad special white with a design from BM17. Then, to add a bit more bling, I filled in the big heart using Zoya Areej and my dotting tool, added a pink rhinestone, and brushed on a little China Glaze Fairy Dust. Here are a couple more detail shots for ya:
So, what's your favorite pink?

Minnie Mouse Nails - Please Vote!
Hey lovelies! In case you haven't already seen these, I recently entered Confessions of a Polishaholic's Disney Nail Art Contest. I decided to go with a cute little Minnie Mouse inspired design.
I used Zoya Sookie for all the red parts and my dollar store black and white for the rest. The little Mickey Mouse heads were done with two different sizes of dotting tools from the lovely Born Pretty Store as were all the polka dots. The bows and the words were done using some new nail art brushes I got at Sally's.
If you like my design, please vote for me! I'm entry #4 Moondancerjen.
