Gorgeous Glitter Gradient!

You guys, I am OBSESSED with the new line of gradient sets from Born Pretty Store.  I just got the purple one in the mail and tried it out, and it is SO PRETTY!  So, Born Pretty sells a set of three polishes that perfectly blend with one another to build a gorgeous gradient effect on your nails.  Here is the purple one I got:

I first heard about this product from a YouTube tutorial by Born Pretty Store, which you should check out here.  The way the product works is you start with a base coat of the first color all over your nail.

 This was two coats of the first color.

Then I applied the second color to two-thirds of my nail.

Then I added the last color the the top one-third of my nail, and then tried desperately to capture the effect.  I hope these pictures are doing this product justice.

I loved the final outcome!

So, in conclusion, this kit is super fun, is easy to apply and you get an AWESOME gradient effect.  I definitely liked using this over the typical sponge gradient technique.  Even cooler is that they have the set in two other color schemes: Green and Pink!  The only con to this product is that it is definitely a pure glitter, which means removal SUCKED, but that's the price we pay for hot glittery nails, right girls?

Birthday Haul

So, as you may know, my birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and it was a pretty good one!  Most exciting present was tickets to see Britney and Niki Minaj in July!!! I CANNOT WAIT!  I love me some Britney Spears! 

Second most exciting present(s) were the explosion of my nail stamping collection!  I got the new Bundle Monster plates from my brother and my future sister-in-law, Bev.  Plus, this HUGE plate my dad won on eBay for me!  Bev got the other big plate for her birthday, which is 10 days after mine. 

I'm so excited about all these images!  I don't know where to start!  I think you will see lots of stamping combos from me soon just so that I can try as many images as possible! 

If you are interested in getting a big plate like this check out http://myworld.ebay.com/rainbownailart/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 The one I have is Big Plate B.  These are exact replicas of the Chez Delaney big plates.  They stamp very well.  The price is phenomenal!  I found all the images on this plate on a Konad plate that retails for about $200, and you can get this one for only $40!

Dotted Pink

Happy Pink Wednesday, lovelies! I love the layered dotting effect I've seen around the blogosphere lately, so I decided to try it out for my pink wednesday mani this week.

The base color is Wet N' Wild Black and the dots are from all my favorite Zoya pinks: Portia, Lo, Flora, Dana, and Areej. I used my dotting tool from Born Pretty Store to make all the dots, which you can get right here.  Hope you are having a lovely pink Wednesday!

NOTD: Purple HOLO!

Hello lovelies, Any one else been through Blogger withdraw over the past day? The weekly nail blog roundup has been delayed because of blogger being down. Expect that sometime over the weekend. In the meantime, here's a simple manicure I did this week.

This adorable purple holo is Color Club Fashion Addict. The stamp is BM08 in konad special black polish with pink rhinestones as an accent.

My almost perfect nude!

You guys, I think I found my perfect nude! As you know, I recently tried out Zoya Amanda as a contender for my favorite nude polish, but she just didn't match my skin tone as well as I wanted, so today I tried a new nude.  The color is Color Club Nature's Way. What do you think? Pretty good match, no?

Because I can't leave well enough alone, I gave my new favorite nude a black tip and some flower stamps.

I kind of wish I would've left it alone because the nude was so pretty, but I was worried I'd be bored with it by the next day.  My only complaint about this polish was how sheer it was.  It took 4-5 coats to get this coverage!  If you franken polish, can you give me some tips for making this more opaque?  Or maybe I need a different base coat for sheer polishes?  Any recommendations for that?  Sound off in the comments, lovelies!  I love learning new things!

Big fat bow!

In case you haven't noticed, I have a bit of an obsession with bows!  Since, on Wednesdays We Wear Pink, I decided to celebrate my obsession with a big fat pink bow on my nails!

Matte Black with Sparkly Black Tips

Super simple Mani for you ladies today. Last week after wearing that adorable pink from Zoya, I wanted to rebel a bit and go with a black look, so out came another one of my Earth Day exchange colors: Zoya Dovima, the perfect matte black. OMG this color is so hot! I didn't want to do much to take away from the pretty color, so all I did was add my sparkly black Love and Polish color to the tips to provide a bit of contrast. I really love how it came out!

Do you ever feel like your nails get too stuck in a theme and then want to rebel with a completely different color? I always want to mix it up and keep things different. When I wear the same color range for a few days or weeks at a time I get super bored.
