Coral/Pink Nails for Wednesday

So, not sure if this color counts as pink. It's a bit coral, but I really love it. I don't have anything else like it in my collection. It doesn't have a name, but I got it from Ross and it is by the Cosmetic Arts company, who also make Color Club. It was a dream to apply, and I got full coverage in two coats. I decided to stamp this gorgeous color with one of my favorite stamps from Bundle Montster, BM204.
I know this is kind of springy and we are now entering into fall, but let's just consider this an end of summer mani!  How cute is the BM204 stamp?  I love these little flowers!  So, can I still sit with you guys if my nails are coral, not pink?

Black and White Flowers on Red Nails

I got the inspiration for this manicure after watching nail art tutorials on Youtube.  I really love the work by IndigoNova1.  She originally did these nails with a green background, but I decided to use Zoya Kylie2 as my base which is a really bright corally red.

My manicure didn't come out nearly as cute as Indigo's, but I found the tutorial really easy to follow, and it turned out as a pretty cute manicure.  Hope you like and it, and try it soon!  I've been finding some great nails on YouTube lately, if you are on there, or have a favorite youtuber I should check out, please let me know in the comments!

Stamping Pink Wednesday

I love Zoya Pinks!  This Wednesday I chose Zoya Lo.

Then, I stamped some pretty roses from my Big Fat Plate (which can also be found on Konad M76)

I love the simplicity of this manicure.  Perfect for a gorgeous pink Wednesday! :)  Hope you're having a lovely one!

Pippa = my new obsession

Confession time: I am a total victim to trends.  Back in the day, whenever I saw LC on The Hills wearing black nail polish I had to wear it ALL the time, even though I previously thought it was only for goth girls.  Now I think black is one of the most chic colors out there.  This time around I'm starting to feel the same about yellow.  One of my favorite fashion bloggers love Maegan has been wearing yellow nails a lot lately, and it is soooooooo HOT!  This previously would not be a color I would choose.  I don't even think I owned a yellow polish before a few months ago!  But, now I want to wear it ALL the time.  First I dabbled with the adorable lemonade nails, and now I've got a cute daisy manicure to share with you lovelies!
Here's a Pippa swatch all on her own.  She's just so stinkin cute and sunny!
Then I had this idea to stamp some daisies in black on the yellow.  The images for my thumb and the rest of my nails are from Konad M51.

This is really cute on its own, but decided to top it off by filling in the black outlines with a small nail art brush and some white polish.

I think the effect is super cute.  When I did it perfectly they look like stickers!  But, it was soooooo hard to get it perfectly in the lines.

So, how do you feel about yellow?  Are there any colors that you totally avoid?  If so, I think it's time to break out of that box and give them a try!  You never know what you might like, or what might look good on you!

Week full of Nails for ya!

I'm so behind on posting my manicures.  Believe it or not, I've actually been painting my nails more than a couple times a week, but I just haven't had time to post them.
Here's Zoya Lolly in her ModMatte glory!  Sorry she's upside down.  Blogger hates my images sometimes.

When the Zoya Earth Day Exchange came up I was on the hunt for a lovely nude.  Zoya recommended Amanda to me.  I think its a cute color, but maybe not the perfect nude for my skin tone, so the hunt continues!  If you have any recommendations, please let me know in the comments.  I stamped the rose with black from one of my Born Pretty plates.
Birthday Nails!  Started with a light blue from Cosmetic Arts, then did a two tone cupcake stamp from BM14 Then I used CG Fairy Dust on top to give it a little sparkle.
Let's call this one: FOIL FAIL!  I had this vision in my head of a full nail foil covered nails, all blingy and hot for my birthday, but um, it didn't hold up well...I got the foil and glue from Dollar Nail Art.  I think when I try this again in the future, I'll start with a base color like black on my nails.  Its a little difficult to get the foil all over the nail, so this will give something nicer to peak through than by naked nail.  I did mange to stamp some princess crowns on the thumb which I think looked pretty cute:
As a bonus pic, I present you BOW TOES!  Color is China Glaze Purple Panic (Neon).  The hearts on the little toes are from Konad plate M3 and the bow is from Konad plate M59.
So, what was your favorite mani from the week?  Any tips for me on how to apply foil better?  And I need nude polish recommendations.  I want something opaque and it is so hard to know by looking at the polish bottle if something is going to be sheer or opaque, so I need your recommendations!  Hit me up in the comments, and have an ab fab weekend!

Spring Dream Manicure

Once I got my Bundle Monster Plates, I wanted to do a manicure that uses as many images as I could!  LOL.  So, I started off with a white base using Zoya Christina (from the LTHP giveaway!) Then I created a spring scene with flowers and butterflies.  Here is a detail shot of my thumb:

I started my stamping with a flower design from plate BM11 stamped with Zoya Dana.  Then I stamped the butterfly from plate BM04 with Zoya Pinta, and the butterflies on plate BM05 using Zoya Breezi and Areej.  To top it off, I dotted the center of the flowers using Sally Hansen Lightning and used a green striper from the dollar store to put in the grass.  And because this wasn't enough!  I added a rhinestone to the butterfly.  Here's a couple of shots of all the nails:

What do you think?  I'm definitely getting into the spring spirit after doing this manicure :)

Flower Bouquet for all my Pink Wednesday Lovelies!

As you all know, on Wednesdays We Wear Pink!  So, today I've got a pretty pretty pink manicure for you ladies!  I pulled out my FAVE pink color: Zoya Portia as my base and then made some flowers using my dotting tools in Zoya Perrie, Keiko, and Areej.  I love how feminine this manicure turned out.

My thumb turned out the best.  I like practicing with my dotting tool, I'm getting some practice wheels in the mail this week, so I'm hoping to work on my skills and new designs really soon! :)  Inspiration for this manicure came from the fabulous Kawaii Nail Art blog.  Check her out if you haven't already!

Fimo Flowers

When I won Let Them have Polish's last contest one of the prizes was a bunch of fimo sticks.  These were my first experience with them, so I looked up some tutorials on Youtube for how to slice them, and Googled some inspiration for what to do with them, and came up with this design:

I split my nail with Zoya Areej (quickly becoming one of my favorite shades) and a basic white polish I got from the dollar store.  I freehanded the dots with my dotting tool with Areej, and then placed my sliced fimo on the line using my Seche Vite top coat, and then added more top coat on top of the fimo slices.

I'll be honest with you guys, even though I LOVED the outcome of this design, it was soooo impractical!  I took it off in less than 24 hours because the little roses were just catching on everything.  I think next time I play with fimo, I'll just use one piece per nail, and put it in a place where it doesn't catch like towards the base of the nail.  It was fun while it lasted though!  What do you think?  Have you used fimo before?

Blue flowers and swirls

Using OPI's Dating a Royal as a base I used Konad special prencess white and prencess silver to stamp different designs from Konad M51 plate.
